Bartender – The Strand Cafe at The Canopy by Hilton, Downtown Ithaca

Are you passionate about bartending and providing memorable guest experiences? Join our team at The Strand Cafe, located inside The Canopy by Hilton in downtown Ithaca.

We’re currently seeking a friendly, experienced, and service-focused Bartender to join our on-site restaurant team. As a Bartender, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming bar atmosphere, crafting cocktails, and helping guests unwind and enjoy their stay.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area

• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service

• Collaborate with restaurant and kitchen staff to serve guest meals & in room dining

• Keep inventory stocked and assist with restocking supplies as needed

• Handle cash, credit, and room charge transactions accurately and follow all cash-handling procedures

• Ensure compliance with local and state alcohol laws and regulations

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior bartending experience preferred (restaurant or hotel setting a plus)

• Knowledge of classic cocktail recipes and mixology basics

• Strong communication skills and a personable, professional demeanor

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexibility to work evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays

• Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcohol
