\n Per custom\, food\, drink \;and networking will be \;key \;components of this special Business After Hours\, but so\, \;too\, will be information on helping area residents whose lives are \;in a state of flux\, and who may need a hand from friends and neighbors.

\n We&rsquo\;ll hear about United Way of \;Tompkins \;County on Sept. 11\, and \;the United Way'\;s \;Stephen E. Garner Day of Caring ( a food\, personal care items\, pet \;supplies &\; school supplies drive) \;on Sept. 20\, and how you and your \;organization\, family\, and others\, can get involved. Last year\, more than 12\,000 \;pounds of donations were received and distributed throughout Tompkins County. \;

\n Like the Chamber of Commerce\, the Day of Caring connects good folks with a common \;mission\, empowering people from all walks of life to work together to address important challenges\, \;in this instance involving hunger\, home and children.

\n On Sept. 11\, at Business After Hours\, we&rsquo\;ll enjoy each other'\;s company\, while looking ahead to \;the final days of summer\, and a worthwhile community challenge this fall.
