DESCRIPTION:The Tompkins Chamber have partnered with Chamber Alliance of New York State (CANYS) and Ithaca Area Economic Development (IAED)  to co-host our next L.E.A.R.N webinar on the New York State COVID-19 Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program. Join us for an overview of the New York State COVID-19 Small Business Recovery Grant Program. This webinar will include information on the newly expanded eligibility requirements and an overview of the application process and what to expect once you have applied. Suitable for small businesses and for community organizations looking for program information to relay program information to others.\n\n\n\nDuring the webinar\, our presenter Matthew Kennedy\, Economic Development Program Specialist with Empire State Development\, will explain the eligibility and documentation requirements of this program and answer your questions about the opportunity to apply.\n\n\n\nWhat Is It:\n\nThe NYS COVID-19 Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program was created to provide flexible grant assistance to currently viable small businesses\, microbusinesses and for-profit independent arts and cultural organizations who have experienced economic hardship due the COVID-19 pandemic.\n\n\n\nWho Is Eligible:\n\nSmall businesses\, Micro-businesses and For-profit independent arts and cultural organizations must be currently viable and have begun operation on or before March 1\, 2019\, and continue to be in operation as of the date of application (may be shuttered due to COVID restrictions).\n\n\n\nEconomically and socially disadvantaged business owners\, and those located in distressed communities\, are strongly encouraged to attend and apply.\n\nThe format of the webinar will be a 40 minute presentation of information followed by a 20 minute Q&A.\n\n\n\nPlease feel free to visit the Chamber's COVID-19 Business Resources page where you will find up to date information and tools to help you\, your business/organization\, and your employees.
