\n | \n Heather Briccetti\, president and CEO of The Business Council of New York State\, will be the luncheon speaker for the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday\, March 4\, 2014. \; Heather will speak about the New York State budget\, and the Governor?s Tax Cut/Reform Package. \; The meeting will be held at the Country Club of Ithaca from noon to 1:30 p.m.

\n Heather Briccetti became President &\; CEO of The Business Council in January 2012\, where she had served as vice president of government affairs for five years. Previously\, Briccetti was a consultant and lobbyist for Powers and Company\, where she advised clients on a range of state and federal government relation issues. Before joining Powers and Company\, Briccetti served as an assistant counsel to the New York State Senate Majority\, working on issues including economic development\, budget reform and consumer protection. She also worked for the Assembly Majority for several years\, serving as a legislative aide and counsel to the Racing and Wagering Committee.

\n Briccetti was recently appointed by Governor Andrew Cuomo to serve on the Chairman?s Committee for the Regional Economic Development Councils and the High-Volume Hydraulic Fracturing Advisory Panel.
